Stuff
Here I am in my new boots. This is what I wore to school on Thursday. And ... my glasses are fixed. Yay!
These are the states that I know now .... plus, I know where they go: Washington, Oregon, California, Nevada, Idaho, Utah, Arizona, Montana, Wyoming, Colorado, New Mexico, Texas, and Ohio!
My mom and dad go around singing the Star Spangled Banner nonstop. They are so embarrassing. If my friends ever hear ... :O!
But, I guess it kindof helps.
I really want to go see Underdog at the Drive-Inn. I hope we get to sometime soon.
In school I like doing art, because we got to make a thing about what we did this Summer. I got to trace a design with this tracer thing, and my picture was called "Memories of Summer". I drew pictures, taped it to a string, and taped it to the shape that I traced. It looks really neat. I drew pictures of our San Diego trip: the beach, the swimming pool, the zoo. I have to think of 8 things about San Diego, so I'm still thinking. Oh yeah - the cool birds - maybe I'll try to draw those too.

School, School, and More School
Here is a copy of what I have to do EVERY DAY for homework. And today's homework took me more than 2 hours.
I had to bring home my math book, and it made my bag REALLY heavy!
I am really excited for Social Studies. But - that is going to be WAY hard. I have to learn all of the states of America and where they are + know their capitals. I have to memorize the Gettysburg Address (my mom did that in COLLEGE). I need to know the Pledge of Allegience and Star Spangled Banner (that's not too hard). I also need to learn the preamble of the US Constitution. AND - know the US Presidents in order. My mom says that she doesn't even know half of that stuff. But, she will when I'm done with her! These assignments are actually just for students that want to earn a special award called the Great American Challenge Award. When I took the US States pre-test - I only got 5 right, so I've got some work to do.
THIS is my favorite part of school. New clothes and new shoes. We don't usually go school-clothes shopping until mid-September. BUT - my Mom got me these cool boots last May ... and hasn't let me wear them until school started. I love them! Aren't they cute? I haven't worn them to school yet, but I think I will tomorrow.

Many Things
Krystal loves to play hide-n-go seek. BUT - when I play with her, there are some very specific rules: #1 - She tells me where to hide, #2 - THEN she counts ("8,9,10,11, 7,1,2,3! Not - here come!") while I hide where she told me to hide, #3 - She stands in front of where I'm hiding and says, "Give me a BEEP BEEP" ... she yells this 3 or 4 times (we always yell "Give me a Beep Beep if we're having a hard time finding the person who is hiding), then #4 - she finds me ... very excitingly like she had NO idea where I was and then she tells me to hide in the same spot 5 more times or so, and then it starts all over again. My mom took this picture of me TOTALLY stuck in the laundry basket (one of the places Krystal wanted me to hide). heehee
School starts in one week. HOLY COW! I can't believe it! I got Mrs. Pangan for my teacher - the same as my friends Emily and Weslie ... maybe more - those are 2 of my friends I see more often. I'm excited. Sierra got Mr. Asay, and I REALLY wanted him for my teacher, but I'm excited for Mrs. Pangan anyways. Everyone says she's really good. Some people have told me she's the best teacher ever. We'll see.
